As we reported earlier, Washington state RV manufacturer, Western RV (Alpenlite, Alpine Coach) is suffering financial problems and recently laid off most of it’s Yakima, Washington plant employees. Now it seems that plant workers aren’t the only ones up in the air–service customers who brought their coaches to Yakima for service are saying they’re been stuck with “half-fixed” RVs.
Bob Wert, Western RV’s president told local TV station KIMA, “We’ve run out of money we’ve paid all the bills we can pay, done all we can do.” Customers who brought their rigs to the Washington plant for warranty service are being told by company officials to take their rigs to dealers, get them fixed, and ask for reimbursement. But with the company claiming to be in dire financial straights, many customers are skeptical that such reimbursements would be forthcoming. To watch a news clip on the story, click here.

I read somewhere that Camping World is handling some/all warrantee claims from National RV owners….I wonder how they can afford to absorb this…(unless National is reimbursing them).
We have a one year old Alpenlite 5th wheel Villa…. I contacted my dealer- Highway RV in Salem, Oregon and was assured that they would support me. I feel your dealer is an important choice when buying… this dealer has been in business for 34 years and has quality staff and sales team. Most of my equipment is under manufacturer warranty… We love our Alpenlite Villa and have been very pleased with our dealer…
