treehouse21.jpgA Seattle man who has lived in an elaborate but rickety 300-square-foot treehouse for two years is about to upgrade to a home on wheels — a 22-foot aging Monaco motorhome friends bought for him on Craigslist. The man had been evicted from the treehouse by the city and had nowhere to go. “I’m overwhelmed,” David “Squirrelman” Csaky, 52, said of the generosity of his friends. “I started crying when they told me.” City Light and the Seattle Department of Transportation jointly own and manage the property under Interstate 5 where Csaky built his treehouse.

Anyone who wishes to donate to Csaky, or knows of a place to park his RV, should contact Janet Yoder at jlyoder@aol.com or send contributions in David’s name to Lake Union Mail, 117 E. Louisa St., Seattle 98102.
