(Hollywood, FL–Near Miami)–A young man’s nocturnal craving for french fries resulted in a fresh fried motorhome on April 7.

Police in the Hollywood, Florida fire battalion got a rousting for a roasting at about 1:00 am to report to an RV fire. When firemen responded to the RV park where the rig was parked they found the RV completely involved. The chief says a young man began cooking up a batch of fries when his cooking oil overheated and began to splatter.

“He tried to put out the fire with water and that is a big no-no,” says Mark Steele. The erstwhile french friar received second-degree burns on his hands, but for some reason refused to be taken to a hospital. For the full story, visit the MiamiHerald.
