Remember that bizarre Airstream Ranch that popped up a few months ago along Interstate 4 near Dover, Florida? The owner of a local RV dealership, Frank Bates, “planted” eight Airstream trailers on his property nose first, calling it art. Neighbors disagreed. And now, Bates has been ordered by the county to remove the trailers.
According to the Tampa Tribune, some neighbors complained that the trailers are an eyesore and brought unwanted traffic to the area. Now, the county says they have to go. But Bates says he will seek rezoning of the land instead.
At a March 15 hearing about the situation, supporters wore T-shirts bearing the message “Save Airstream Ranch.” Others testified that the bizarre display brought motorists through their rural neighborhoods.

I’ll bet Bates has been to Amarillo, Texas.
His idea is cute, but not very original.
What is Frank Bates thinking? Why is he cluttering up Florida? He is a very successful RV dealer and does NOT have to resort to such distasteful ART to bring in customers.
I will not buy another RV from him with those dead and partially buried RVs. What is disgrace to RVers everywhere!
