Washington, D.C.– Bring your RV, bring your money, but leave your firewood and kindling up north. That’s the ‘welcome message’ from the US Customs and Border Protection officials.
Saying that firewood can host harmful bugs, customs officials say any firewood from Canada is up to suspicion, and some from eastern parts of the country will be […]

With the recent “plug pullings” by two large RV manufacturers, folks in the Pacific Northwest seem to be left with more questions than answers. The puzzled looks and downright disgust wind up on the faces of both government blokes and ex-employees.
Down in Oregon, Douglas County officials are weighing their options on the 34 acres […]
While there’s apparently no “Uniform Code” for high-occupancy-vehicle lanes across the 50 states, here’s a question and answer story from Washington state.
Q: Can I tow a trailer in the HOV lane if there’s two or more people in my truck?
A: In Washington, sho’ ‘nuf. In a “ask the traffic guy” column published […]

RVers who travel along back roads in rural areas may soon have trouble finding a gas station. About 8,000 Mom and Pop gas stations across the USA are in danger of closing up if gas prices rise above $4 a gallon. Their old mechanical pumps’ spinning wheels can only register up to $3.99 a gallon. […]
(Haines City, Florida)–Got a flat tire on your RV? Best get it pumped up, or you could get a citation from the local “big junk police.” City fathers, tired of fielding complaints about RVs and other vehicles that were apparently “abandoned,” have given walking orders to the local police: If you spot […]
